Who we are

Bolide Games LLC is a game studio in Ohio, United States. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].

This website

bolide.games sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties; the fonts are served from this site. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps the standard server logs any web host keeps: your IP address, the page requested, and the time. Cloudflare's handling of those logs is described in its own privacy policy.

Dodgeball VR

The game uses four things, each for one purpose:

Your Meta display name. Read through the Meta Platform SDK and shown to your opponent during online play, the same way it appears in any Quest multiplayer game. We do not store it.

Unity Gaming Services. Online matches are created and joined through Unity's Authentication and Multiplayer services. They handle an anonymous player ID and the connection data needed to relay the match between two headsets. Unity's handling of that data is described in Unity's privacy policy.

Voice chat. During online matches your voice is carried to your opponent through Vivox, Unity's voice service. We do not record or store it. Unity's handling of voice data is described in Unity's privacy policy.

Your progress. Career runs, settings and character choices are saved on the headset only. They never leave it.

The game has no ads, no analytics, no in-game purchases, and no account of its own. Nothing is sold or shared.

Match logs, in test builds only. Pre-release test builds share a log of each finished match by default, and say so on the main menu and the online screen before you play. The SHARE LOGS switch in the pause menu turns it off. When sharing is on, the game uploads a log of each finished match to our server at logs.bolide.games, hosted on Cloudflare: game events, scores, and the positions and movement of your head, hands and the ball during play. Player and room names are removed before upload; a log is labelled only with a random ID for the headset and Unity's anonymous player ID. Cloudflare sees the IP address of the upload, as it does for this website; we do not store it. We use match logs only to find and fix problems in the game, never share or sell them, and delete them automatically after 45 days. Turn the switch off to stop uploading, or email [email protected] to have logs deleted sooner. The released game does not have this switch and uploads nothing.

Children

Dodgeball VR is sold through the Meta Quest store and follows its age requirements. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
